The Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry Oak Single Malt 2021 Highland, Scotland 700ml

Founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid. The Macallan was one of the first distillers in Scotland to be legally licensed. The creation of The Macallan draws on the vital contributing influences of Spain, North America and Scotland - and of their respective natural raw materials, combined with traditional methods and craftsmanship. With up to 80% of The Macallan’s final character and flavour determined by cask quality, the oak cask is the most prominent factor in ensuring and delivering the quality and style of our single malt. All The Macallan take 100% of their colour from the wood in which they are matured. The Macallan works closely with fully integrated ‘tree to finished seasoned cask’ companies in Spain; to identify the oak trees in the forests of northern Spain. The casks are seasoned for 18 months before making the journey to Scotland.

The Range “Sherry Oak” is a selection of rich and intense single malt whiskies matured exclusively in hand-picked Oloroso sherry seasoned oak casks, characterised by a depth of flavour and remarkable natural colour.

The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Years Old forms part of our Sherry Oak range which features a series of single malt whiskies matured exclusively in hand-picked sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez for richness and complexity. A full bodied palate of mature oak, ginger and raisin flavours is complimented by a light mahogany natural colour.
