Description

History

Forover two centuries the name of Dow’s has been closely linked with the finestPorts from the vineyards of the Upper Douro Valley. Since 1912, when AndrewJames Symington became a partner in Dow’s, five generations of Symingtonwinemakers have lived and worked at their vineyards of Quinta do Bomfim andQuinta da Senhora da Ribeira from where they have produced many memorablewines, including the only Vintage Port made in the 21st century with a perfect100-point score.

 

Agedfor ten years in Dow's Boa Vista Lodge, this 10 Year Old Tawny retains thebright fruit flavours of a young wine combined with an intense complexity fromageing in well-seasoned oak.

Tasting Notes

ThisPort’s colour has a deep russet centre with a distinctive garnet edge and ahint of amber and bright aromas of red cherry and almonds with toffee andvanilla notes balance the nose. On the palate this wine is mouth-filling, withpeppery spice and a touch of marmalade. The finish is full, with Dow’strademark dry edge.
