Founded in 2012 by Hamish Martin and his wife Liberty in Edinburgh. The Secret Herb Garden has over 600 naturally grown and tended varieties of herbs. As a Herbologist, Hamish spent his time experimenting with the botanicals he so carefully and lovingly nurtured. With his knowledge and his past in the drinks industry, Hamish created a range of 100% natural gins, using the botanicals he had grown in his own sacred space. They grow, pick, dry and infuse all of the incredible herbs by hand. They then harness the magical properties of the flowers and herbs through a natural distillation process, creating glorious floral gin that is 100% natural, with no additives, flavours or colouring, just nature distilled.
The natural blue colour is the first thing you notice about this handcrafted gin. This, naturally, comes from the cornflowers used in the production which are joined in their influence by gentle, fresh chamomile. The calming nature of the gin is wonderfully juxtaposed by its vivid, wild blue hue. A terrifically different tipple.
Tasting Notes
Surprisingly aromatic, fresh florals come to the fore along with heady citrus peels, before a gentle soft and warmth comes through on the palate. Delicate and herbaceous.
Let's see how the color change:
