Founded in 1971 by Giovanni Neri and passedon to his son Giacomo in 1991. They own 7 vineyards, which covered only 63hectares.

The first Brunello harvest was 1978. TenutaNuova, first vintage in 1993, which is a pioneering and visionary vineyardproject embodying the belief and passion of Casanova di Neri. Tenuta Nuovameans new property (Le Cetine in the southern reaches of Montalcino whichboasts stony galestro soils); it is a place where nobody planted Sangiovesebefore, the fruit is harvested from a south- and southeast-facing slope at 250to 300 meters above sea level. This manages the warmth and ripeness of the vintagewith tremendous sophistication; Tenuta Nuova is the will of Casanova di Neri toproduce a powerful yet drinkable Brunello with a high ageing potential. The2015 was aged in oak 37 months and further 12 months in bottle.
